M. Shadows (Vocalist)
: Dia dimasa kecilnya lumayan terkenal berkelakuan buruk dan suka membuat kekacauan. Tapi kalo dia sendiri menggambarkan masa kecilnya dia itu "Diantara anak baik dan buruk. Mempunyai Hati yang Baik tapi Bersifat buruk. Dia pernah dikeluarkan dari sekolahnya dikelas 8 (sekitar 2 SMP) di Huntington Beach High School.

Synyster Gates (Guitarist)
: Pernah sekolah di Mayfair High School dan Ocean View High School. Setelah SMA, ia pernah bersekolah di Musicians Institute di Hollywood untuk mempelajari Gitar Jazz tapi ia tidak lulus. Setelah itu dia belajar secara otodidak melalui Music Video dan Buku2. Lalu ia kaget melihat Ayahnya juga pernah mempunyai band.

The Rev (Drummer)
: Di masa SMA sudah pernah Di DO dua kali. Salah satunya dia sekolah katolik yang m. shadows juga sekolah disitu. Bersama M. Shadows mereka dikeliarkan bersama si kelas 8. Ia pernah ditangkap 8 kali, salah satunya karena memulai perkelahian di Bar. Makanya ia membuat tato borgol di lehernya, untuk mengingatkannya pada penangkapannya itu. Setelah diangkat menjadi katolik sejati, ia membuat tato "Bunda Maria". itulah tato pertamanya di usia 18 tahun. Ia memiliki banyak tatoo di tubuhnya, ia bilang "Jika ia merasa tempat itu cocok, ia akan mentatonya"

Zacky Vengeance (Guitarist)
: Belajar gitar dari ayahnya yg tidak kidal. Dia bjuga belajar gitar dengan menonton band-band favoritnya. Dia selalu membaca Guitar World dari awal sampai akhir sampai ia dapat melakukan semua "tab" dengan baik. Ia sangat terinfluence dengan band Rancid, Misfits, dan Bad Religion. Band Favoritnya juga adalah Pantera, Metalicca, Elixir, Dan Gun N' Roses.

Johnny Christ (Bassist)
: Bersekolah di Marina High School di Huntington Beach, California. Dia Lulus SMA hingga melalui Kakaknya ia Bertemu dengan m. shadows, s. gates. The Rev. Ia juga temannya Matt Baker (Adiknya Zacky Vengeance)
